This is where it all began. Jacqui devised this piece as a movement and text evocation of the classic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.

Orpheus' great love Eurydice dies unexpectedly.

He is told by the fates that if he can descend into the underworld and placate the furies, he can bring her back to the world of the living, provided he does not look at her during the journey.
