Jacqui has condensed Oscar Wilde’s deepest play and set it in a bright minimal set, but with colourful and non-traditional costumes.

The story of Salome, based on true historical characters concerns the intersection of obsessions and the disastrous consequences.

Herod’s infatuation with his nubile stepdaughter Salome, her infatuation with John the baptist (herald of Christianity), and John The Baptist's infatuation with god and his loathing of Herod’s wife, Horiatis.

The sample we are showing is the finale of Salome’s famous dance (without the veils) and Herod’s first vain attempts to sidestep his unwise promise.
